Senior Systems Analyst - Vulnerability Remediation

6-month day rate contract | Sydney | Critical banking systems

We're looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to help coordinate the ongoing security, maintenance and improvement of a bank's critical systems and applications.

n

This is not a traditional Business Analyst position. It is a technical operations role suited to someone who understands enterprise applications, production support and vulnerability management, but is equally comfortable coordinating engineers, Cyber Security teams, vendors and business stakeholders.

The role will be approximately 60% technical coordination, 25% hands-on systems and application support, and 15% technical analysis, reporting and lifecycle planning.

What you'll be doing

- Coordinate vulnerability remediation and security patching across critical systems and applications.
n
- Work closely with Cyber Security, infrastructure engineers, application owners, delivery partners and vendors.
n
- Track vulnerabilities through to resolution, manage dependencies and ensure remediation timeframes are met.

- Support application configuration, administration and production troubleshooting.
n
- Coordinate system upgrades, software releases, patches and version updates.
n
- Help maintain the security, availability, performance and currency of the bank's technology platforms.

- Support change management and the delivery of technical projects.
n




- Monitor service performance and provide reporting, recommendations and technical guidance.

- Improve processes, standards and controls across system maintenance and support.

What we're looking for

n

n
- Experience supporting or administering critical enterprise systems and applications.
n
- Exposure to vulnerability remediation, security patching or application lifecycle management.
n
- The ability to coordinate technical work across multiple engineering teams and vendors.
n
- A working understanding of databases, Active Directory, authentication and access-control principles.
n
- Experience working within structured change, incident and service-management environments.
n
- Strong stakeholder-management skills with the confidence to drive actions through to completion.
n
- The technical capability to understand remediation plans, identify risks and challenge engineering teams when required.
n
- Experience within banking, financial services or another regulated setting would be highly regarded.
n
