We are seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a designer who can confidently contribute from day one and take ownership of design and technical development across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

- Taking and interpreting customer and internal design briefs
- Designing point of sale, retail display and shop fixture solutions across a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
- Creating detailed 2D and 3D models, assemblies and manufacture-ready technical drawings
- Developing concepts from initial design through to engineering detail, prototyping and production
- Preparing samples, prototypes and supporting documentation for quoting and customer approval
- Applying strong design-for-manufacture principles, with consideration for cost, quality, assembly, transport and installation
- Working directly with local and offshore manufacturing teams to resolve technical and production issues
- Supporting the sales and production teams with technical knowledge, design development and project delivery
- Managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Checking drawings, specifications and production details for accuracy before release to manufacture

About you





- A degree-level qualification in Industrial Design, Product Design or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated professional experience as an Industrial Designer
- Strong, practical and proven knowledge of SolidWorks, including 3D modelling, assemblies, detailed drawings and manufacture-ready documentation
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for accurate 2D drafting, layouts and technical documentation
- Strong 3D visualisation and rendering skills - able to produce high-quality, photorealistic renders that clearly communicate concepts to clients
- Solid proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, with the ability to prepare professional design presentations, artwork and visual communication
- Experience developing products or displays for manufacture, with a sound understanding of materials, fabrication methods, tolerances, fixings and assembly
- Strong understanding of design for manufacture, quality control and cost efficiency
- Ability to take a project from concept through detailed design and into production with limited supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical design decisions in a commercial manufacturing environment
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to be involved in prototypes, samples, production reviews and practical problem solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working autonomously and taking ownership of assigned projects.
