Senior Immigration Lawyer - Complex Work. Real Ownership. Real Impact.

This is a role for a lawyer who wants their experience to actually count. You'll take ownership of complex, high-stakes matters, the kind that test your judgement, not just your admin skills. You'll be backed by established workflows and a team that handles the pieces that shouldn't need a lawyer's time.

You will lead a controlled caseload of approximately 10 to 25 active matters, with clear file processes and practical assistance from our legal operations, administration and paralegal team. That structure exists so you can focus on what you're actually good at: legal strategy, accurate drafting, sound advice and client outcomes.

The role

You will lead a portfolio of immigration matters from strategy through to decision, using the systems and resources around the role to keep delivery clean, accurate and consistent.

Analyse complex facts, research the law and identify the right strategy for each matter

Prepare accurate applications, nominations,



submissions, advice and supporting evidence that stand up to scrutiny

Give clients explicit, practical advice and communicate confidently throughout their matter

Maintain control of competing deadlines, evidence requirements and client expectations, identifying risks early and acting on them

Client-facing consultations

Once you are onboarded and familiar with our systems and standards, you will conduct strategy sessions / consultations with prospective clients who approach the firm. You will identify suitable matters, scope the work and help the right clients move into fixed-fee engagements through sound legal judgement and strong communication.

Performance incentives may recognise consultation and conversion outcomes once you are established in the role.

About you

You hold a current Australian practising certificate and have at least 5 years of experience in Australian immigration law

You have a proven track record of managing between 10 and 25 concurrent matters accurately and efficiently

Clients trust you because you communicate clearly, set realistic expectations and follow through

Your legal analysis is careful, your written work is persuasive and your advice is practical

You remain composed when deadlines converge, facts are complex and the consequences for clients are significant

You take ownership, exercise sound judgement and raise risks early

You want work that tests you, not just work that keeps you busy
