Working largely autonomously and reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for keeping our recycling and processing equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands‐on maintenance role primarily focused on preventative maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting and supporting our production team during the afternoon/night shifts.

Key responsibilities

- Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance across the facility
n
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and production issues
n
- Diagnosing problems with pumps, motors, conveyors and processing equipment
n
- General mechanical repairs and maintenance
n
- Fabrication and welding work
n
- Assisting operators with equipment and process‐related issues
n
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
n
- Assisting with continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
n
- Working closely with the afternoon/night shift to ensure a smooth handover
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised maintenance area
n

About you
n
n
- Previous experience in a mechanical trade or maintenance role
n
- Strong general mechanical knowledge
n
- Experience with pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors and mechanical equipment
n
- Positive fault‐finding and troubleshooting skills
n
- Fabrication and welding experience highly regarded
n
- Electrical connect/disconnect experience or relevant qualification highly regarded
n
- The ability to work independently and prioritise maintenance requirements
n
- A strong safety focus
n
