We’re seeking an experienced and innovative Employment & Capacity Building Coordinator to join our NDIS Employment Pathways team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape capacity building and job readiness programs that empower people living with disabilities to build skills, confidence and pathways to meaningful employment.

Working collaboratively with internal teams, schools, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), employers and community partners, you will strengthen employment pathways, foster strategic partnerships and contribute to positive employment outcomes for participants.

About the Role

As Employment & Capacity Building Coordinator, you will:

- Facilitate the identification, packaging and delivery of employment pathway and capacity building programs across a range of funding streams
- Develop innovative learning experiences and resources that support employment readiness, participant capability development and adult learning principles
- Evaluate program effectiveness through participant outcomes, stakeholder feedback and performance data, ensuring resources remain current, evidence-based and compliant
- Lead, support and monitor program delivery to achieve quality outcomes, service growth and key performance targets
- Maintain strong operational strategic partnerships with schools, RTOs, and internal stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways, employment opportunities and participant outcomes
- Leverage partnerships and coordinate collaborative projects, while representing Mai-Wel in education,



employment and community forums to support sustainable employment pathways and participant outcomes
- Partner with RTOs and education providers to facilitate accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities
- Contribute to program sustainability and growth by monitoring funding requirements and identifying partnership, grant and service development opportunities.

Passionate about developing innovative capacity building, job readiness and employment pathway programs

Self motivated, proactive, highly organised, with strong program coordination, planning, problem solving and project management skills

A collaborative relationship builder with experience engaging schools, employers, RTOs, community partners and other key stakeholders

Participant-centred and committed to continuous improvement, innovation and delivering high-quality outcomes

Adaptable and comfortable working collaboratively across diverse stakeholders and changing environments

Able to identify opportunities for program growth, sustainability and community impact.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

- Experience coordinating programs, projects and initiatives, including planning, implementation and evaluation
- Experience designing, tailoring and implementing programs or services to meet participant, stakeholder and/or funding requirements
- Experience monitoring program performance, participant outcomes and stakeholder feedback to support continuous improvement
- Ability to identify and develop opportunities for program growth, sustainability and community impact through partnerships, funding opportunities and service development initiatives
- Experience preparing reports, proposals, business documentation and/or funding submissions
- Knowledge of employment support pathways, transition-to-employment models and/or the NDIS environment
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence and current (or obtainable) Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).

Desirable Qualifications & Experience





- Experience within disability services, employment services, NDIS Supports, School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), school-to-employment transition programs or other community-based services
- Experience working collaboratively with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), educational institutions, employers and community partners
- Experience identifying, developing and implementing grant-funded programs, new service offerings and fee-for-service initiatives
- Experience analysing performance and outcome data to inform service improvement, business planning and decision-making
- Qualifications in Community Services, Disability or Human Services
- Cert IV or Diploma in Project Management, Quality Management or Communications.
