An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join a highly regarded, privately owned property and development business with a strong track record across residential, multi-residential and mixed-use projects.

With an integrated development model spanning the property lifecycle, the business places significant importance on disciplined financial management, commercial decision-making and understanding the financial drivers behind each development.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of the finance team while playing a key role in the broader commercial and strategic finance agenda.

- Act as 2IC, providing senior financial leadership across the business.

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and accounting outcomes.

- Own and review property development feasibilities, including project assumptions, cash flows, funding requirements, margins, returns and sensitivity analysis.

- Partner with the Development team throughout the project lifecycle, from acquisition and feasibility through to delivery, sales and settlement.

- Provide commercial analysis and financial insight to support investment and development decisions.





- Prepare and review monthly management reporting, budgets, forecasts and financial performance analysis.

- Monitor project profitability, cash flow and financial performance across the development portfolio.

- Supportwith annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.

- Oversee financial controls, accounting policies and compliance requirements.

- Manage and review statutory reporting, taxation, audit and year-end processes.

- Support project funding, debt facilities and banking relationships as required.

- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, reporting and controls.

About You

You will be a commercially minded finance qualified who combines strong technical accounting capability with genuine property development experience.

You will ideally bring:

- CA/CPA qualification with significant post-qualification experience.

- Proven experience in a Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.

- Strong experience within property development, ideally across residential and/or mixed-use projects.

- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing property development feasibilities and financial models.

- Solid understanding of development project economics, including acquisition, construction, funding, sales, settlements, cash flow and project returns.
