Geonbae is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Casual Wait Staff to join our dynamic hospitality team in Hastings, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a vibrant restaurant environment. You will be at the forefront of our guests' experience, delivering outstanding service and creating memorable dining moments.
What you'll be doing
Greeting guests warmly and escorting them to their tables in a professional and friendly manner
Taking accurate food and beverage orders and communicating them effectively to the kitchen and bar teams
Serving food and drinks promptly whilst maintaining the highest standards of presentation and hygiene
Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, specials and beverages
Ensuring tables are set correctly and maintained throughout the dining experience
Clearing and resetting tables efficiently between seatings
Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
Responding to guest queries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
Maintaining a clean and organised dining area and station
Working collaboratively with kitchen, bar and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a wait staff or hospitality role is essential for this role
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tables simultaneously
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages
Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service
Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and calculations
Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant procedures and systems
