About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to joinour highly regarded Real Estate Development team, led by PartnerNick Holuigue.

The Real Estate Development practice at Maddocks is thepre-eminent property development practice in Victoria, comprisingmore than 50 professionals, including six Partners. The team workscollaboratively across the firm to provide end-to-end legal advicethroughout the property development cycle.

Acting for many of Australia's leading listed and privatedevelopers, we advise on all stages of the development process,from acquisition and structuring through to planning, delivery andproject completion. Our team is recognised for deliveringcommercially focused, strategic advice and maintaining a deepunderstanding of the evolving legal and regulatory landscapeaffecting the development industry.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in leadingmatters, managing client relationships and mentoring juniorlawyers, while working closely with Partners on complex andhigh-profile development projects across the residential,commercial, retail and industrial sectors. You will also have theopportunity to contribute to business development initiatives,industry engagement and the continued growth of the practice.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Approximately 5-7+ years' PQE in property law, with strongexperience in property development matters.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex transactions andproviding strategic, commercially focused advice toclients.
- A genuine passion for the property development sector and astrong understanding of the development lifecycle.
- Experience supervising,



mentoring and developing juniorlawyers.
- Strong client relationship management skills and acommitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and project managementcapabilities.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability towork effectively across large, multidisciplinary teams.
