About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Test Lead for an urgent contract opportunity with a Victorian Government Agency based in Geelong.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities across the stream, while also contributing practically to test planning, design, execution, defect management and delivery.

n

The engagement is available for an immediate start and will run through to the end of January 2027.

n

About the Role You will work closely with Programme Test Management, development teams, IT teams, automation teams and third-party vendors to ensure testing activities are delivered in accordance with the Programme Test Strategy.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Lead and manage end-to-end testing activities for the stream.
n
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, scenarios and test cases.
n
- Perform hands-on testing across infrastructure, security, integration'sand APIs.
n
- Participate in Sprint Planning and Backlog Refinements.
n
- Work collaboratively with Programme Test Management to deliver testing outcomes aligned with the Programme Test Strategy.
n
- Manage defect processes, including identification, triage, allocation, tracking and resolution.
n
- Coordinate with development teams, IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve defects.
n
- Liaise with Automation Teams to identify and improve regression test coverage.
n
- Communicate testing risks, issues, progress and outcomes to key stakeholders.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing and defect management processes.
n
- Support Enterprise Infrastructure WIC and service virtualisation activities.
n
- Undertake other reasonable testing and delivery activities as required.

About You

n

We are looking for a Test Lead who combines strong leadership capability with a practical, hands-on testing approach.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Strong Infrastructure and Security testing experience and knowledge.
n
- Experience with security platforms and upgrade initiatives; exposure to Check Point CloudGuard would be highly regarded.
n
- Strong MuleSoft or Boomi integration testing experience.
n
- Proven API testing experience covering planning, execution and validation.
n
- Experience leading testing across complex enterprise environments.
n
- Strong defect management, triage and resolution experience.
n
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
n
- Experience participating in Sprint Planning and Backlog Refinement.
n
- Experience working with Automation Teams on regression coverage.
n
- Exposure to Enterprise Infrastructure WIC and service virtualisation.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and delivery teams.
