About the role

n

Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life and working with a friendly, energised, and passionate team, this role will help manage and deliver one of our most valuable programs - Learning for Life (LfL). The role involves planning and implementing The Smith Family Scholarships and taking a strength based, family led practice approach to support stronger educational outcomes for students. You will maintain key relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families on the program, partner schools, community groups and volunteers. As a champion of our work within the community, you'll find this a highly engaging and fulfilling prospect that makes a difference to the lives of Australian children every day.

While every day will be different, you will primarily be responsible for:

n

- Liaising with Schools and Principals on the progress of student referrals to the program
n
- Enhancing relationships with key people in Schools to positively impact on attendance and school completion rates
n
- Using a strengths-based approach to build family's capacity to support their children's education
n
- Taking a family led practice approach to maximise school attendance and support key transitions
n
- Ensuring excellent database management and administration support for students
n

About you

n





Family Partnership Coordinators come from varied backgrounds with different skills and experience.

n

As well as passion for fostering student success, you will bring:

n

n
- Experience building solid relationships with families and community stakeholders in roles such as a Family support Worker, Community Engagement Worker, Social Worker or School Liaison Officer
n
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
n
- Capability to work autonomously; organising your own day, problem solving and adapting when things don't go to plan
n
- Computer literacy and motivation; completing administrative or data entry tasks and achieving goals
n
- A current driver's licence.
n
