Mayneline Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Drafter to join our team in Arundel, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our carpentry and cabinet-making operations. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and designs that bring our clients' visions to life and guide our skilled craftspeople through the manufacturing process. This position is central to bridging the gap between client requirements and our production team, ensuring precision and quality in every project we undertake.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for carpentry and cabinet-making projects using CAD software

Collaborate with clients, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate drawings

Create 2D and 3D drawings that clearly communicate design intent to production teams

Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations

Review and revise drawings based on feedback from clients and production staff

Maintain comprehensive drawing files and documentation systems for project reference and archive

Provide technical support to the production team to clarify drawing specifications and resolve any design queries

Stay current with industry best practices and emerging drafting technologies

What we're looking for

Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar industry-standard programs

Strong technical drawing skills with the ability to produce accurate, detailed, and clear documentation

Sound knowledge of carpentry, joinery, and cabinet-making techniques and materials

Understanding of building codes, standards,



and regulations relevant to the carpentry and cabinet-making industry

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work

Problem-solving ability and flexibility in adapting to project-specific requirements

Relevant qualifications or certification in drafting, design, or a related field are preferred

Experience in the carpentry, joinery, or furniture manufacturing industry is advantageous
