Shared Beginnings Early Learning is looking for two passionate and confident Room Leaders to join our team:

Nursery Room Leader

Whether your heart belongs with our littlest learners or you love the curiosity, independence and big personalities of our 2–3-year-olds, we’re looking for leaders who bring warmth, energy and high-quality practice to everything they do.

About the Roles

As a Room Leader, you’ll take ownership of creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children feel secure, confident and excited to explore.

You’ll lead and mentor the educators within your room, support high-quality programming and practice, and build genuine partnerships with children and families.

Most importantly, you’ll create a room culture where your team feels supported and children are given every opportunity to learn, grow and have FUN.

Our Nursery Room Leader will have a genuine passion for infant care and understand the importance of secure attachments, responsive caregiving and consistent routines.

You’ll create a calm, nurturing setting where our youngest children feel safe and connected while supporting their early development through meaningful relationships, sensory exploration and play.





Our 2–3 Years Room Leader will embrace all the curiosity, growing independence and BIG personalities that come with this wonderful stage of development!

You’ll create engaging opportunities for children to explore, communicate, build confidence and develop their emerging social and emotional skills through child-led, play-based learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Support

- Lead, mentor and support educators within your room
- Model positive, high-quality early childhood practice
- Build a collaborative and supportive room culture
- Support your team’s professional growth and confidence
- Lead engaging, child-led and play-based learning experiences
- Guide observations, documentation, planning and critical reflection
- Embed EYLF V2.0 and the Shared Foundations Approach into everyday practice
- Create inspiring environments based on children’s interests, strengths and development
- Build warm, secure and meaningful relationships with children
- Develop genuine partnerships with families
- Support each child’s individual routines, interests and developmental needs
- Create an inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported





Quality & Child Safety

- Maintain a safe, compliant and well-organised learning environment
- Champion child safety, wellbeing and active supervision
- Support strong practice across the NQF and NQS
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Assessment & Rating readiness

What You’ll Bring

- ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Previous Room Leader or senior educator experience is highly regarded
- Strong understanding of VEYLDF, NQF and NQS
- Confidence leading, mentoring and supporting educators
- Robust understanding of child development and age-appropriate practice
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
- A warm, positive approach and genuine passion for early childhood education
- Plenty of energy, patience and a love of making learning FUN!
