About the Role

n

We are seekinganexperienced, Diploma-qualified2ICto join ourteamfor a12-month maternityleave position starting in November 2026.

n

This is anexciting opportunity foran experienced earlychildhood professionalwho enjoys leadership, building relationshipsand beingactively involved inthe day-to-day operation ofa centre.

n

We are open to either:

n

Full-time employment, including a monthlyRDO; or

n

Working alongside theActing Centre Manager, the2IC will playan important rolein supporting thesmooth, effective andcompliant operation ofthe centre.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Supporting the CentreManager with theday-to-daymanagement and operationof the centre.
n
- Confidently taking responsibilityfor therunning of thecentre in theCentre Manager's absence.
n
- Providing leadership, guidanceand support toa team ofapproximately15 educators.
n
- Building and maintaining strong, respectful andpositive relationshipswithchildren, families andcolleagues.
n
- Working closely withfamilies on adaily basis andresponding professionallyto enquiries.
n
- Assisting withcentre tours,



enrolmentenquiries and familycommunication.
n
- Supporting staff rosteringand ensuring appropriatestaffing arrangements aremaintained.
n
- Providingon-floor supportand workingcollaboratively with educatorsto maintain high-quality practice.
n
- Assisting with the review, implementationand ongoing managementofpolicies and procedures.
n
- Supportingcompliance with theNational Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, National Law andRegulations and ChildSafe Standards.
n
- Working closelywithXplor CCMSand supporting theeffective use ofthe system.
n
- Contributing to apositive, professionaland collaborative workplaceculture.
n
- Supporting continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes forchildren, families andeducators.
n

About You

n

We are lookingfor apassionate, reliable andexperienced early childhoodprofessionalwho is readyto take thenext step - orcontinue developing - intheir leadership journey.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- ADiploma of EarlyChildhood Education andCareor equivalent.
n
- A minimum of5 years' experiencein Early ChildhoodEducation and Care.
n
- At least2 years' experienceworking in a2IC or similarleadership position.
n
- Strong leadership andorganisational skills.
n
- The ability to build positive andrespectful relationshipswith children, familiesand colleagues.
n
- A collaborative approachand the abilityto work effectivelywithin a team.
n
- The flexibility and adaptability to respondconfidently to thechanging needs of a busy earlychildhood setting.
n
- Experience reviewing,



implementingand maintainingpolicies and procedures.
n
- Experience usingXplor CCMS.
n
- Strong knowledgeof theEYLF, NQS, NQF, National Law andRegulations and ChildSafe Standards.
n
- The confidenceand capability to manage the day-to-day runningof the centrein the absenceof the CentreManager.
n
- Most importantly, weare looking forsomeone who isapproachable, calm, organisedand genuinely enjoysworking with people.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

The successful applicant will hold:

- Diploma of EarlyChildhood Education andCare (or equivalent).
n
- CurrentWorking with ChildrenCheck.
n
- CurrentMandatory Reporting andGecko Child Protectiontraining.
n
- Sound knowledgeoftheEYLF, NQS, NQFand Child SafeStandards.
n
