Short Term Trainee Operator Night Shift, located West Melbourne

- Night shift $62.38hr including casual loading.

- Short term assignment.

Our client is an independent operator of bulk liquid and gas storage throughout Australia and New Zealand. The site distributes petrol chemical products so it is a highly dangerous environment.

n

We are currently seeking for a short term Trainee Operator on night shift to join the team on a casual basis. The assignment is 3 -4 weeks but could potentially extend depending on work load, performance, attitude and reliability.

Key responsibilities and duties:

n

n
- Helps with a variety of duties involved such as unloading chemicals from ships to tanks to tanker trucks.
n
- Could be anything from fire watch to, attaching hoses to monitoring liquid flow.
n
- Assist in Road tanker operations. Handling, connecting , disconnecting hoses / bolting up flanges etc.
n
- Equipment set up.
n
- Operating mobile equipment - moving drums, moving pallets of goods.
n
- Use of forklifts.
n
- Working at heights.
n
- Use of power tools.
n




- Housekeeping tasks.
n
- Computer work - data entry, complete daily paperwork.
n
- Working in hot and cold temperatures.
n
- Must be physically fit - manual handling.
n
- Strong attention to detail.
n
- Available to work Monday to Friday + weekend.
n
- Ability to follow tasks / instructions.
n
- Role involves employees to be on their feet all day.
n
- Reliable & punctual.
n
- Must complete and successfully pass pre employment medicals.
