Casual | 3–4 Days per Week | Melbourne CBD | Primarily Onsite / Hybrid
n
We are an established Australian business preparing to expand an important new premium/luxury retail e-commerce operation.
n
We are looking for a capable, energetic person to take ownership of an existing e-commerce project, complete the website, build the online product offering and get it trading successfully, with a particular focus on the important pre-Christmas period.
n
This is a hands‐on role requiring regular work in our Melbourne CBD office, as working directly with physical stock is an important part of the position. Once established, there is flexibility for appropriate website, content and administrative work to be completed remotely.
n
The Role
n
You will take an existing e-commerce project from its current near-launch stage through to active trading and ongoing development.
n
n
- Completing and refining the existing e-commerce website
n
- Improving page layout, navigation and product presentation
n
- Selecting and organising physical stock for online sale
n
- Adding products, images, descriptions and pricing
n
- Creating and maintaining product categories and collections
n
- Coordinating product photography
n
- Identifying older and under-utilised inventory suitable for online sale
n
- Developing promotions and featured product selections
n
- Creating and coordinating social media content
n
- Helping establish and maintain an effective social media presence
n
- Monitoring sales and continually improving the online offering
n
- Working closely with the business owner and an experienced internal team
n
n
The business operates on Odoo 19.
Previous Odoo experience would be valuable but is not essential. Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms is highly relevant.
n
About You

n
- Can learn recent software quickly
n
- Understands online merchandising and premium product presentation
n
- Has experience with product photography or coordinating photography
n
- Has experience with Instagram and social media for business
n
- Can establish priorities and get things finished without constant supervision
n
- Experience working with luxury, premium, design‐led or visually driven products would be highly regarded.
n
n
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can take ownership of the project and drive it forward, rather than simply wait to be given individual tasks.
n
The Position
n
Employment: Casual
n Days: Approximately 3–4 days per week initially
n Location: Melbourne CBD
n Work arrangement: Primarily onsite, with flexibility for appropriate work to be completed remotely
n Start: As soon as possible
n Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
n
The position is initially expected to focus on getting the e-commerce operation fully established through the pre-Christmas and Christmas trading period.
