Job Description

We currently have an exciting prospect for a dynamic and motivatedSite Managerto join the Fredon Air NSW Construction team on a full-time basis located in Canberra. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing live projects across various locations.
n
The key accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
n
Develop and maintain relationships with client builder, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders
n
Manage and schedule subcontractors to meet program deliverables, including workforce planning and resource allocation
n
Ensure all contractual obligations and scope of works are understood and met, while mitigating any risks to the project
n
Manage site logistics, including but not limited to site deliveries, crane management and bookings, horizontal transportation.
n
Identify, report and assist in pricing on any variations to the contracted scope of works
n
Oversea productivity and monitor progress against the program, addressing and reporting any issues impacting cost, quality or time.
n
Assist in the preparation of monthly project reports
n
Ensuring specification compliance, generating defects and NCR's where applicable, including the closing out of any and all items.
n
Implement the Project quality Plan, the Site safety Plan, conduct and report regular inspections
n
Address on-site issues promptly, collaborating with other trades and stakeholders to find solutions
n
Coordinate activities with main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project continuity
n
Review, monitor and ensure compliance to SWMS
n
Complete site diary on a daily basis
n
Complete ITPs in line with site progress
n
Maintain accurate project documentation. Including as built drawings, equipment schedules and compliance records
n
Assist and manage commissioning activities
n
Attend site coordination meetings where required
n
Any other reasonable duties that may be required by Fredon
n
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
n
5 plus years' experience as a Site Manager within construction or mechanical engineering preferred
n
Must have a valid driver's licence and white card
n
Eligible and prepared to undertake security clearances
n
First Aid training is advantageous but not essential
n
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Understanding of industry regulations
n
High attention to detail and organisational skills
n
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
n
Excellent client relationship skills
n
Strong problem-solving skills
n
Efficient in Microsoft software suite
n
