Business Services Supervisor / Manager | Sunshine Coast

With a modern technology stack and significant investment in automation and AI, the firm is focused on reducing repetitive, number crunching work and allowing its accountants to spend more time working directly with clients and providing meaningful advice.
Key responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of small business clients from start to finish
Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and IAS for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Review bookkeeping and payroll prepared by the support team
Identify and raise advisory opportunities with clients
Advise on business structuring and restructures, Division 7A, trust distributions, CGT and small business concessions
Assist with year-end tax planning, profitability and cash flow improvement
Deal directly with business owners and explain financial results in a clear and practical manner
Review work and mentor junior and offshore team members
Contribute to process improvement, automation and the adoption of AI tools
Work closely with the Partners and broader client management team
Candidates:
6+ years’ experience in an Australian public practice environment
Accounting or Commerce degree, with CA/CPA completed or progressing through
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with business owners
Advanced Xero skills and experience with practice management/workflow systems
Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior or offshore staff
