Are you an experienced process analyst looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dedicated Improvement Specialist to assist with a key diagnostic review aimed at optimizing operational workflows and assessment processes. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and mapping out practical solutions to drive continuous improvement.

Role Title: Improvement SpecialistClient: Queensland Government DepartmentContract Length: 3 Month Contract with potential of extensionPay Rate: A05 to A06 ($69.21 to $84.55 an hour + super)Submission Date: ASAP

What You Will Do:

- Support the mapping and documentation of current-state assessment processes, key activities, decision points, and workflow delays.

- Gather and analyze workflow, effort, and file sample data to identify waste, variation, bottlenecks, and drivers of processing effort.

- Review operational procedures, guidance materials, and templates to pinpoint causes of inefficiency, duplication, or rework.

- Assist in developing practical improvement options, process maps, root cause analyses, and roadmap inputs for future implementation.

- Engage collaboratively with operational teams and subject matter experts to gather insights, validate information, and document outcomes.





What You Need to Apply for This Role:

- Demonstrated experience in process analysis, workflow review, data analysis, and process mapping within operational improvement reviews.

- Formal training or certification (IASSC or equivalent) in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or comparable process improvement methodology.

- Proven capability in data gathering, observation support, file sampling, and preparing clear working papers or reporting inputs.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Experience in grants, claims, case management, lending, or similar operational and regulated environments (highly regarded).

You must be a Brisbane based candidate with unlimited working rights to be considered.
