Employment Relations Advisor (part-time)

ABsolute Workplace Solutions (ABWS) is a specialist workplace advisory firm providing employment relations, industrial relations and HR support to organisations navigating compliance, workforce challenges and workplace strategy. ABWS currently has a strong focus within the aged care, health, community and disability sectors.

We’re a small, professional team known for being pragmatic, responsive and easy to work with. We’re now looking for an Employment Relations Advisor to join us in a part-time, permanent capacity (2 days per week to start), with the potential for additional days as the business grows.

The opportunity:

This is a excellent role for someone who enjoys research, supporting others and producing high-quality written work. The role will also appeal to those who are comfortable working in a small business environment and operating independently. The main focus of the role will, at least in the initial stages, be to support our experienced legal practitioners and contribute to a wide range of ER/IR deliverables.

Indicative working arrangements:

- Permanent part-time(2 days per week initially)
- Hybrid, within-office attendance in Chatswood each Wednesday
- $60-65 per hour plus super (indicative)
- Please note that contractor arrangements will not be considered

Key responsibilities:

Depending on your experience, your work will include:

- Supporting legal advisors withemployment relations research
- Drafting and updatingemployment contracts, enterprise agreements, policies and procedures




- Draftingclient correspondence, written responses andclient reports
- Contributing toblog/newsletter articlesand supporting social media content

About you:

You’ll likely bring:

- Strong experience inemployment relations / HR advisorywork (3 years plus is indicative), combined with a sound knowledge of employment-related legislation
- Demonstrated ability to produceclear, high-quality written documents
- Experience draftingemployment-related agreements, policies and procedures
- An understanding ofenterprise agreements
- A natural curiosity, supported by strong research skills
- The ability to work independently, be highly organised and maintain robust attention to detail
- Exceptional reliability and a strong customer service focus
- Flexibility to take on additional hours of work as and when required (preferred, not essential)
- Exposure to theSCHADS Award(preferred, not essential)

Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (such as ER/IR, HR or Law) are preferred, combined with suitable experience.
