CAB Plumbing is a growing national commercial plumbing and hydraulic maintenance company with 25+ years of experience and a large, loyal client base.

We specialise in reactive commercial maintenance, preventative maintenance and project services across commercial property, facilities management, government, education, strata, retail and hospitality.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Estimator to join our team at our Thomastown Head Office.

n

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Estimating manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and quotations for a range of commercial plumbing maintenance and project works.

n

This role requires someone who has a reasonable understanding of general plumbing & regulations, and can understand and predict the technical requirements of a job, review information from our plumbers and clients, problem solve, and identify the correct scope of works required, and put together transparent and accurate quotes.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Prepare accurate compliant, easy to interpret estimates and quotations for commercial plumbing maintenance and project works
n
- Review job reports, photos, site information and scope of works to determine labour, materials, plant and equipment and any other relevant job requirements.
n
- Liaise with plumbers and supervisors to clarify site conditions and further works if found to be required.
n




- Assess any information provided and identify any additional or potential further requirements.
n
- Source and obtain supplier pricing for materials, equipment and specialist services.
n
- Calculate labour, materials, margins, subcontractor and other project costs while factoring in company overheads on all potential jobs.
n
- Manage multiple quotes and ensure they are completed within required timeframes.
n
- Follow up outstanding contractor quotations and assist with converting opportunities into approved works.
n
- Identify opportunities for additional works and provide recommendations to clients where appropriate based on information gathered from our attendance.
n
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure quoted works are clearly communicated and can be delivered as scoped.

Skills & Experience

n

We are looking for someone who has worked within the plumbing industry and understands maintenance plumbing,

n

n
- Previous experience in the plumbing industry.
n
- Understanding of commercial plumbing maintenance and repair works, different plumbing systems.
n
- A proactive approach to identifying solutions and problem solving.
n
- Trade qualification in plumbing is highly regarded
n




- Strong comprehension skills , ability to interpret job reports, photos, site conditions and apply this to quoting works.
n
- Strong understanding of labour, materials, site conditions and elements required to complete proposed works successfully.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines.
n
- Competent computer and administrative skills.
n
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a supportive team
n
- Current driver's licence
n

Experience with commercial maintenance, facilities management or hydraulic services will be highly regarded.
