The Position
The position is responsible for investigation, traffic and parking surveys, engineering fieldwork, ensuring traffic control compliance at worksites, research tasks and general office duties, as well as survey, design and drafting of traffic and transport related projects and infrastructure.

Tasks and responsibilities

- Undertake field research associated with local traffic, transport and road safety issues
- Investigate and develop actions to address local traffic, transport and road safety issues, including surveying and concept design.
- Prepare and present reports for relevant committees to relay information regarding traffic safety issues and relevant technical solutions
- Implement technical solutions to manage local traffic, transport and road safety issues, including set out for construction
- Manage local area traffic management projects, including engaging external contractors and managing all relevant contract documentation
- Undertake traffic modelling tasks to develop management solutions to local area traffic management issues

Qualifications and experience

- Certificate IV in Civil Engineering or associated fields and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Class C (Standard) Driver's License (compulsory to have and maintain)




- Prepare a Workzone Traffic Management Plan Certificate

Hours
Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
