Title: Disability Support Worker
Location: Wollongong & Nowra NSW
Reports to: Team Leader, Service Manager

About the Role

This role is focused on delivering compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours for a registered NDIS Provider providing Supported Independent Living, Specialist Disability Housing and support services throughout NSW, VIC, ACT and QLD. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service, ensuring that every person we support receives the quality care they deserve.

About the Position

- Availability: 4-6 days per week, 8 hour shifts. Consistent work on offer dependent on your availability!
- Requirements: Must have Australian Drivers License and full comprehensive car Insurance; ABN; NDIS Training modules.
- Location: Must be willing to travel to our numerous Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes within the applied locations.
- Ideal Applicants: Support workers, mental health certified, nurses, social/aged/youth workers, people looking to gain experience.

- Work closely with families, carers, therapists, and team members.
- Maintain professional relationships and positive teamwork.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, training, and supervision.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Support health, mobility, communication, and behaviour needs.
- Encourage skill development, self-advocacy, and cultural respect.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery.
- Many of the participants requiring support are male with complex needs. We welcome applicants of all genders who are confident providing person-centred support, including personal care, behavioural support and community access, in line with NDIS standards.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking Support Workers who are confident in working with participants with high complex needs/behaviours and comfortable providing personal care.

Robust communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to complete clear and accurate shift documentation.
