We are expanding our small team of honest and reliable plumbers based in South Melbourne. Blue Diamond Plumbing is seeking a motivated: experienced maintenance plumber, newly qualified plumber or 3rd/4th year apprentice to join us.

n

Experienced plumbers will bring a broad skill set and the ability to work independently across key responsibilities. You will manage designated maintenance contracts and respond to private customer across a range of services. Responsibilities will be tailored to your experience, with ongoing opportunities to build your skills through problem-solving and practical solutions.

Recently qualified and 3rd/4th year apprentice plumbers will have the opportunity to further develop skills within the plumbing industry across a broad range of plumbing fundamentals. With exposure to a broad variety of work, supported by our team.

The job - key service delivery

n

Regular preventative maintenance of commercial facilities to ensure all plumbing infrastructure has optimal functioning. Repair any identified issues within the scope of the works to maintain optimal function of all plumbing fittings and fixtures, including roof inspection, gutters, pumps, pipes, drains, valves and drainage.

Main Duties will include

n

Preventative maintenance

n

Blocked drains,



inspection and repairs utilising, cables, Jetter and camera

n

Pump box servicing and repairs

n

Installation of solar, gas and electric hot water units

n

Installation of split systems

n

Roof repairs and management of drainage

n

Backflow testing and training

n

Tempering valves inspection and maintenance

n

Gas connections and repairs

n

Renovation upgrades including rough ins and fit offs

n

Plumbing service for our domestic clients, including, repairs replacement and maintenance.

The job – key responsibilities

n

Keep comprehensive records of all work undertaken including time, materials, parts use of equipment, and photos for every job. Where required detailed reports for our clients

n

Identify and diagnose plumbing issues and determine the most effective solution in conjunction with the client.

n

Communicate professional and effectively with clients, site managers and facility managers regarding work performed, and any additional recommendations ensuring exceptional customer service.

n

Collaborated with other team members, trades and clients for a solution-based approach to plumbing works.

n

Ensure all work adheres to the relevant plumbing codes, regulations and safety standards and is completed to the highest standard.

n

Keep your vehicle, tools and equipment in good working order and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

n





Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of plumbing issues, relevant to experience

Respond to emergency calls, assess and determine the most effective management to achieve a solution, based on skills and experience

n

Employment requirements

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Be punctual, reliable, and take pride in your appearance.

A current Plumbing Registered in Victoria (Building & Plumbing Commission) or 3rd/4th year apprentice.

n

Australian citizenship or permanent resident with working rights in Australia.

n

Preferred

n

Experience in maintenance plumbing, or willingness to learn.

n

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues on site.

n

Current Working with Children's Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.

n

Current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment or willingness to obtain.

n

Be able to learn and use software applications.

n
