About the opportunity:

n

We are now looking for a Finishing Supervisor to join our team in Somerton, Victoria.

n

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Environmental policies while driving operational excellence across the finishing department.

n

Working closely with the Quality, Supply Chain, and Rollfed Production teams, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products, maximising productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

n

n
- Lead, coach, and develop the Finishing team to achieve safety, quality, and production targets.
n
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety, GMP, and environmental requirements.
n
- Monitor and improve machine efficiencies and daily output.
n
- Drive waste reduction initiatives through measurement, analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Monitor downtime and implement strategies to improve equipment performance and production output.
n
- Manage and control departmental costs, including paper, ink, tooling, and consumables.
n




- Work collaboratively with Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
n
- Investigate and implement corrective actions to reduce internal and external DMRs (Defective Material Reports).
n
- Support and implement company policies and procedures, including performance management and disciplinary processes where required.
n
- Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

- Previous team leader or supervisory experience within a manufacturing, printing, packaging, or production environment.
n
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental systems.
n
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance improvements.
n
- Experience analysing production metrics and implementing corrective actions.
n
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
n
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
n
- Experience with GMP environments or regulated manufacturing industries is desirable.
