- Lead a high-impact University-wide function spanning philanthropic governance, donor relations, gift management and stewardship, with responsibility for shaping best-practice frameworks and service delivery across ANU.
- Shape how philanthropy is governed and delivered across the University, driving stronger frameworks, clearer processes and a more consistent experience for donors and internal stakeholders.
- Translate philanthropy into lasting impact by strengthening donor accountability, improving processes and ensuring philanthropic support is managed effectively, transparently and in line with donor intent.

Position overview

The Associate Director, Philanthropic Governance & Impact is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of the University’s philanthropic governance and donor relations functions.

Leading a team across gift governance, donor relations, gift processing and reporting, the role will ensure strong governance, effective stewardship and consistent, high-quality service across the University.



It will also play a key role in developing frameworks, policies and processes that strengthen donor accountability, support sound decision-making and enable philanthropic funds to achieve their intended impact.

Working closely with senior leaders across Advancement & Engagement, Finance, Research, Scholarships, Colleges and the ANU Foundation, the Associate Director will provide trusted strategic advice, build strong institutional partnerships and drive continuous improvement across the philanthropic lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to lead a highly visible function that sits at the intersection of philanthropy, governance, relationships and institutional impact.
