The Role
As Corporate Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving corporate event revenue through strong client relationship management, effective enquiry conversion and the development of new and existing business opportunities. Working closely with the Senior Sales Manager and wider events team, you will manage the corporate sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to event confirmation, while strengthening key accounts, agency relationships and repeat business.
This role suits a confident and commercially focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships, achieving revenue targets and delivering an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to inbound corporate event enquiries in a timely, professional and commercially focused manner
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, consistently driving revenue against individual and venue sales targets
- Identify and secure new corporate business through referrals, repeat business, industry connections and agency partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, PCOs and key industry partners
- Manage key corporate accounts, identifying opportunities for repeat business and long term partnerships
- Conduct site inspections, presentations and client meetings, confidently showcasing the venue's spaces and capabilities
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotations and contracts aligned with client briefs, budgets and event objectives
- Manage the sales pipeline, including tentative bookings, holds, follow ups, conversion timelines and lost business
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM, including enquiry activity, client communication and booking status
- Contribute to sales forecasting, revenue reporting, conversion analysis and pipeline management
- Monitor market activity and competitor offerings to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Collaborate closely with Events, Operations,
Culinary and other internal teams to ensure confirmed events are operationally achievable
- Represent the venue at industry events, networking opportunities, familiarisations and trade events
The Candidate
You're a polished, commercially minded sales professional with a proven track record in venue, hotel or corporate event sales. You thrive on building relationships and converting opportunities, and you balance a results driven mindset with genuine client care.
- 3+ years' experience in a sales role within venues, hotels, events or hospitality
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Confident communicator with excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and CRM accuracy
- Commercially astute with a solutions focused, proactive approach
- Comfortable managing multiple enquiries and shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
- Experience preparing proposals, quotations and contracts is highly regarded
- A collaborative operator who works well across sales, operations and events teams
Salary & Benefits
- $85K–90K plus super, plus commission
- Monday to Friday role
