About the Role
Join a well-established landscape construction business delivering high-quality residential and commercial outdoor spaces across Melbourne. This role has a strong focus on horticulture, garden maintenance, plant care and overall landscape presentation, while still providing exposure to broader landscaping and construction works.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Maintain and develop high-quality residential and commercial gardens and landscaped areas.
- Undertake planting, pruning, hedging, weeding, mulching, turf care and general garden maintenance.
- Apply strong horticultural knowledge to plant health, garden presentation and ongoing maintenance.
- Identify issues within gardens and landscapes and take initiative to resolve them.
- Assist with irrigation maintenance, soil preparation and general landscape upkeep.
- Ensure gardens and outdoor spaces are consistently presented to a high standard.
- Collect a company vehicle from the South Melbourne yard before travelling to site each morning.
- Assist with broader landscaping and construction works as required.
- Work collaboratively within an established team and lead by example.
- Take ownership of day-to-day tasks and assist with coordinating site activities.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and fellow team members.
- Maintain safe work practices and quality workmanship across all projects.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in horticulture, gardening, landscape maintenance or landscape construction.
- Robust knowledge of plants, garden maintenance and horticultural practices.
- A genuine green thumb with an eye for detail and presentation.
- Experience with planting, pruning, hedging, turf, irrigation, soil preparation and general garden care.
- Horticulture qualification or strong horticultural background highly regarded.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring others, or the confidence and initiative to step into leadership.




- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify what needs to be done without always being directed.
- White Card essential.
- Working With Children Check preferred.
- Current driver's licence.
- Reliable, motivated and takes genuine pride in their work.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
