Are you an experienced HSES professional who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment? TROY Laboratories is seeking a practical, proactive and influential Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability Manager to lead our HSES function across our Glendenning site, operations, remote workers and off-site activities.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys building strong systems, engaging with people at all levels, and driving a proactive safety culture in a regulated operational setting.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead TROY’s health, safety, environment and sustainability function. You will strengthen safety systems, support compliance with NSW and Australian requirements, improve emergency preparedness, and provide governance across high-risk operational areas including hazardous chemicals, controlled drug storage and security, process safety and critical risks.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, implement and continuously improve HSES systems, standards, procedures and programs.

- Drive compliance with NSW WHS legislation, SafeWork NSW requirements, codes and other legal obligations.

- Lead incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, corrective actions and lessons learned.

- Coordinate inspections, audits, risk assessments, critical control checks and HSES reporting.

- Support safe systems of work for employees, contractors, visitors, remote workers and off-site activities.

- Facilitate consultation through HSR engagement, HSES committees, toolbox talks and safety updates.





- Provide practical governance for high-risk areas including hazardous chemicals, controlled drugs, plant, forklifts, contractors and emergency preparedness.

- Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce waste, energy, water, emissions and resource use.

- Coach leaders, supervisors and employees on practical HSES requirements and continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

- Tertiary qualifications in WHS environment, sustainability, science, engineering or a related discipline.

- Senior HSE, EHS or HSES experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, laboratory, warehouse or other regulated operations.

- Strong knowledge of WHS systems, risk management, incident investigation and contractor safety.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to influence leaders, employees, contractors and external stakeholders.

- Strong communication, reporting and coaching skills.

- The ability to balance compliance, operational needs and continuous improvement in a busy site environment.
