Tamworth Regional Council is renewing its executive leadership and reshaping how the organisation operates, performs and delivers for its community.
Reporting directly to General Manager Paul Bennett, the Executive Manager Corporate Governance will lead financial services, strategy and performance, governance, risk and assurance, legal services, customer service, digital and information services and economic activation and analysis.
This is more than a Corporate Services role. It is a significant enterprise leadership appointment with influence across Council.
Council is seeking an accomplished local-government executive with sound judgement, political maturity and the confidence to operate at the centre of organisational decision-making. You will advise the General Manager, Mayor and Councillors, contribute across the Executive Leadership Team and lead capable specialist managers.
You will know when to enable, when to question and when to hold the line.
Your challenge will be to support ambitious delivery while maintaining the financial, legislative, risk and public-accountability disciplines on which community confidence depends.
Priorities include strengthening enterprise risk and business continuity, supporting long-term financial sustainability, connecting strategy and resources to measurable performance, guiding organisational and technology change, and improving the quality and consistency of advice to elected members.
