About The Company Our client is a privately held healthcare organization, operating clinics & hospitals across Australia. They're undergoing a major technology transformation to reimagine the patient and clinician experience through data, AI and digital innovation.

About The Role Reporting directly to the Director of Data, this is a senior individual contributor role with no people leadership component. You'll be the primary technical authority within the data function, owning the architecture, build and performance of the business's on-premises data platform end to end, partnering closely with the Director and senior technology leaders.

Salary is flexible but a guide would be $190k to $210k + super range.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

Own the architecture,



build and ongoing performance of on-premises data pipelines and databases end to end

Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server, Python and Azure Data Factory

Establish and maintain data governance policies, monitoring data quality and integrity across on-prem systems

Oversee design, implementation and maintenance of on-premises SQL Server databases

Partner across technology and operations to ensure data systems align with organisational goals and compliance standards

Skills and Experience

Proven senior data engineering experience, ideally with on-premises environments

Strong hands-on SQL Server expertise, including T-SQL and performance tuning

Strong Python skills for data engineering and pipeline development

Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestration

Solid ETL/ELT design and delivery experience across the full data lifecycle

Comfortable as a senior individual contributor, with no interest in people management

Robust stakeholder and communication skills
