Role Description The Sales and Interior Design Consultant is a full time, in office role based in Richmond, Melbourne. The consultant will welcome clients in the showroom, present suitable furniture and design options aligned with the client’s style, space, and budget. Daily responsibilities include preparing mood boards and floor plans, coordinating product selections/quotes, and offering guidance on finishes, fabrics, and layouts.

The role involves managing sales from initial inquiry through to after-sales follow-up, including quotations, order processing, and coordination with suppliers and logistics. The consultant will maintain showroom presentation, stay up to date with current design and product trends,



and collaborate with the broader team to ensure a high-quality client experience.

Qualifications
Proven experience in interior design or furniture consulting, including space planning, furniture selection, and styling.
Strong sales and client relationship skills, with the ability to conduct consultations, close sales, and provide high-level customer service.
Knowledge of luxury design trends, materials, and finishes, ideally with familiarity with European or Italian design brands.
Competence in design and presentation tools (e.g., CAD software, design apps, or similar) and basic proficiency with office software for quotations and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a showroom workplace and engage confidently with clients and industry partners.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Relevant qualification in interior design, decoration, architecture, or a related field is highly regarded.
Availability to work standard retail hours, including weekends as required.
