About the role

Key responsibilities
Creating comprehensive Chronic Disease Management (CDM) care plans and team care arrangements
Conducting thorough health assessments for various age demographics
Performing wound reviews, removal of stitches/staples, and assisting with minor surgical procedures
Administering routine childhood, travel, and seasonal immunisations, as well as specialized injections
Adapting to assist the varying needs of in office specialists (e.g., post-op care for plastic surgery, skin checks support for dermatology)
Managing patient flow, handling phone triaging, and responding to acute clinical presentations

About you
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)




Prior experience in General Practice or a fast-paced outpatient/acute setting is highly regarded
Strong computer literacy and familiarity with medical software (e.g., MedicalDirector, Best Practice)
Valid immunization provider certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Able to rapidly absorb current clinical protocols and adapt to the preferences of multiple different doctors and specialists
Comfortable managing a busy workload without compromising on patient care or safety
Gifted at building rapport quickly with a variety of people, from patients to surgical specialists
Eager to work collaboratively within the nurse roster, sharing knowledge and supporting peers
