and leads with purpose.OverviewYour roleWe are currently seeking a Senior Liability Claims Consultant to join our Comcover team.Comcover is the Australian Government's self-managed insurance program providing insurance and risk management services to Australian Government entities who are part of the Comcover Fund.As a Senior Liability Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of General Liability, employment related and other types of engaging and unique claims from across the federal government.
You'll work alongside our Liability Claims Team, Team Leaders and client to ensure these Liability claims are managed in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring our strong customer service focus.The position will be offered on a permanent, full-time basis and we offer a flexible hybrid approach of working in our brand-new Melbourne CBD Office and Working From Home (WFH).
How You'll Make An ImpactYou will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:Managing a portfolio of complex liability claims end to end, from a General Liability perspectiveInterpreting public liability and professional indemnity policy wordings and apply accuratelyProviding advice to clients on indemnity, liability, quantum, reserving and settlementLiaising with various third-party providers including solicitors, loss adjusters, brokers and barristersSettling claims within client service instructions, guidelines and delegated authorityAttending client meetings and mediations, where applicableResolving complaints in accordance with applicable guidelinesIdentifying potential fraud/recovery indicators for claims,
