Job Description
General Labourer
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team at a busy sawmill.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors and being part of a team.
Previous sawmill experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided to the right person.
This position is a permanent position and the hours will be 7am start and a 4pm finish Monday - Thursday.
7am-1:30pm finish on Fridays!
Duties include:
General labouring and manual handling
Assisting with timber processing and production
Stacking, sorting and moving timber
Keeping the yard and work areas clean and organised
Operating basic equipment and machinery after training
Following workplace health and safety procedures
Other general duties as required
About you:
Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
Works well independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in a sawmill, yard, construction or similar environment is desirable




Forklift or machinery experience is an advantage
