Job Description
Joining the surgical nursing team at NALHN, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across a diverse range of surgical specialties.
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care, including patient assessment, monitoring, and discharge planning.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate safe, timely patient flow across surgical wards.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold NALHN clinical standards and safety protocols.
Support and mentor junior nurses and students, fostering a culture of learning and shared accountability.
What you need




In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships.
An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex setting is essential to this role.
