About the company/role:
Our client is a value-added protein manufacturer with a state-of-the-art facility based in Western Sydney.
They supply innovative meal solutions to major retailers and leading QSR across Australia.
This is a full-time, 3-6 month casual role with standard office hours.
However, there are permanent opportunities.
This is a cross-functional role works closely with Development Chefs, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement.
Duties:
Development and implementation of new products, processes and packaging
Project management from initiation through to completion
Work on costings and feasibility
Collaborate with Specification Technologist on documentation
Running factory trials accurately and to production schedule




Administration and data recording of all trial information
Liaise with members of various departments – Development Chefs, Production, Procurement, Quality
Skills/experience:
Degree qualifications in Food Science or equivalent essential
Recent experience in a PD role with RTE meals and meat products is preferable
Proven understanding of all legislative requirements required for labelling and products
Creative and ability to think outside the box combined with a positive, driven and determined personality
Ability to work in a rapid-moving environment
Liaise and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
