This is where our Senior Lending Managers play a critical role.
About the role
Working closely with mortgage brokers and service providers this role is responsible for delivering great outcomes to our accredited broker partners and their customers.
This role is a relationship focused credit assessment role which will see the ideal candidate willing to engage with broker partners on the phone every day.
The Senior Lending Manager will maintain ownership of individual files from lodgment through credit assessment, loan documentation and loan settlement which includes:
Responding to lending scenarios
Reviewing each loan file to verify that supporting documents are present, accurate, and complete before credit underwriting
Executing on a delegated lending authority
Working with valuers, solicitors, and other business partners to create efficiency
Overseeing the loan process through mortgage software system
Ensuring that loan rules, obligations, and deadlines are met
Supporting brokers with their applications to ensure files meet SLA's and key settlement timeframes
Providing brokers ongoing communication and support throughout the lifecycle of the mortgage
Contributing to continuous improvement projects
About you




You are currently working in a lending or credit assessment role within a lender or a mortgage broking firm.
You are looking to take the next step and advance your career and professional development building new skills and relationships.
You are a motivated high performer and are looking for an prospect where you can align your income with your high performance.
You bring the following skills and experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience with mortgage loan decisioning preferred
Have held a Delegated Lending Authority of at least $1m
Experience with non-bank mortgage lending would be preferred
Experience with Simpology Loan App would be highly regarded
Strong understanding of mortgage lending credit policies, processes, and products
Sound understanding of the National Consumer Credit Act
Working knowledge of financial institution operational and compliance requirements
Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills, a genuine willingness to pick up the phone to find solutions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
A true solution focus to credit assessment
Solid attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationships
Adaptable with a strong ability to navigate and learn new systems and processes
Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking well regarded
