Key responsibilities
You will provide care across outpatient, inpatient, operating theatre and after-hours on-call settings and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver protected, effective and person-centred care.
As a Consultant Ophthalmologist (Vitreoretinal Surgery), you will provide high-quality specialist ophthalmology services with a subspecialty focus on vitreoretinal surgery and retinal disorders, while contributing to the delivery of comprehensive general ophthalmology services across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.
You will be actively involved in teaching and supervising ophthalmology trainees, medical students and junior medical officers.
What you need
Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia as an Ophthalmologist.
Demonstrated expertise in vitreoretinal surgery and the management of complex retinal disease.
Experience in teaching, supervision and mentoring of trainee medical staff.
