This position is suited to an experienced horticulturist who is confident working independently and is ready to take greater responsibility.
You will work across established high-end residential gardens, helping manage their ongoing horticultural development, presentation and plant health.
For the right person, the goal is for you to progressively take the reins of the maintenance division.
Key responsibilities
Managing and maintaining high-end residential gardens
Professional pruning, hedging and plant care
Diagnosing plant health, pest, disease, soil and irrigation issues
Fertilising, soil improvement and general horticultural management
Identifying problems before they become larger issues
Communicating professionally with clients
Planning and prioritising work efficiently
Maintaining consistently high presentation standards
Taking responsibility for jobs and helping guide other team members
Working closely with Peter as the maintenance division continues to grow
About you
Qualified in horticulture and has strong practical plant knowledge
Mature and dependable with a high level of professionalism
Proactive and able to notice what needs doing without constantly needing to be told
A problem solver comfortable diagnosing problems, adapting and finding solutions
Customer focused and comfortable speaking with clients
Punctual and organised with strong reliability
Passionate about horticulture and genuinely enjoys plants and gardens
Adaptable and able to think on your feet
Takes ownership and pride in their work
