A key part of the role is building robust connections between generalist and mental health services across hospital, community, public and private settings.

Key responsibilities
You will provide specialist advice, education and support to build the confidence and capability of staff to recognise and respond to the mental health needs of patients.
As a CL Nurse, you will provide expert mental health assessment and intervention to patients and their families, while working closely with generalist clinical teams to develop person-centred plans of care.
You will also act as a trusted mental health resource across Barwon Health, contributing to mental health education, projects and policy development while promoting best-practice care.




Deliver expert clinical care through recovery-oriented mental health and AOD assessment, risk assessment, brief interventions, care planning and appropriate referrals for patients and families.

What you need
Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
Significant experience and demonstrated advanced skills in mental health and AOD assessment and treatment.
Postgraduate qualifications in clinical practice and/or leadership are desirable.
