Brisbane Respiratory and Sleep Specialists are looking to add a casual Medical Receptionist to their team. You will be working alongside a part time practice manager and two part-time medical receptionists. The prospect to progress to a Permanent Part Time Role is available for the right candidate. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Key responsibilities
Responding to incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
Managing all patient appointments, including cancellation list and ensuring GP referrals are up to date
Meet and greet of patients visiting the practice
Assisting with general patient enquiries via telephone and email in a polite and courteous manner
Managing call patient recalls in conjunction with specialists
Maintain a high quality of record keeping for patient files
Preparing and running patient clinics
Ensuring a high level of accuracy with data input into the patient management system
Ensuring patient records are up to date for the consultations
Reviewing upcoming clinics and ensuring all patient records are in order before the day of the clinic and appointment reminders have been sent out to patients
About you
A minimum of 12 months medical reception or administration experience, specialist practice highly desired
An exemplary phone manner and compassionate demeanour
Exception communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to tactfully handle difficult interactions with patients and their family members
Solid work ethic and reliability
Previous experience using Xestro would be highly regarded, if not, experience with other practice management software such as Gentu or Genie
Proficiency with patient billing, including Medicare, Private Health Funds, DVA and Workcover
Australian work rights are required for this position
