We are seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our busy medical practice in Dulwich Hill. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will help create a welcoming and skilled environment. The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, pay close attention to detail and manage competing priorities with calmness and compassion.

Key responsibilities
Welcome patients and manage the reception area
Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries
Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments
Process Medicare billings, private fees and patient payments
Manage patient records, referrals and correspondence
Scan and upload clinical documents accurately
Communicate professionally with doctors, patients, specialists and other healthcare providers
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements
Support doctors and team members with general administrative tasks




Keep reception and waiting areas organised

About you
Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong customer service and communication skills
A professional, friendly and compassionate manner
Good computer and administrative skills
Excellent organisation and time management abilities
Strong attention to detail
The ability to multitask in a busy environment
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
