The Speech Pathology Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Speech Pathology Cadet to join their team on a casual basis.
Your opportunity
Assist in the delivery of speech pathology services to patients, by undertaking basic duties under the close clinical practice supervision of more experienced Health Practitioners.
About the Team
Our Speech Pathology Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient,



community and rural settings. Our Speech Pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.
About our Hospital and Health Service
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,500 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
