FW Formwork Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced
Yardsman/Truck Driver
to join our team on a
full-time basis
. Based in Sunshine North, VIC ****, this role is integral to our operations, ensuring that our formwork equipment and materials are efficiently managed, maintained, and transported to construction sites across Victoria. You will be responsible for assisting with yard operations and driving duties, playing a key part in keeping our projects on schedule and our clients satisfied.
Key responsibilities
Operating and maintaining company vehicles, including trucks used for transporting formwork equipment and materials to and from construction sites
Performing regular vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues or damage
Loading and unloading formwork equipment, materials, and supplies safely and efficiently in the most efficient and correct manner
Ensuring all cargo is secured appropriately and complies with relevant transport regulations
Managing yard operations, including organizing and storing equipment in designated areas
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, equipment movements, and yard inventory
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site and in the yard
Communicating effectively with construction managers, site managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Following all company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation and yard management
What we're looking for
A current, valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle types you will be operating (Heavy Rigid proffered)
Proven experience as a truck driver/yardsman in the construction or related industry
Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks and basic vehicle maintenance
Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and practices in the construction industry
The ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (certification is a must)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Good communication and teamwork abilitiesA reliable work ethic and commitment to punctuality
Physical fitness to perform manual handling duties
A clean driving record and safety-focused attitude
Basic knowledge of Construction Formwork material is proffered but not necessary
