About the role:

This position provides advanced ophthalmology care across inpatient, outpatient and subspecialty settings under consultant supervision.
The role involves the assessment and management of complex ophthalmic conditions, supervision of junior medical staff, participation in teaching, research and quality improvement activities, and contribution to departmental leadership and service delivery.
Prospects for supervised surgical experience are provided in accordance with departmental requirements.

“As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Registrar will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
