We are currently seeking experienced Casual Support Workers to provide high-intensity, complex care within a SDA Setting

About the Role
n
You will be supporting a participant with high and complex care needs, requiring consistent 1:1 and 2:1 support, including active and passive overnight shifts.
n
This role involves delivering person-centred care while supporting safety, dignity, and quality of life across all daily activities.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
You will support the participant with:
n
n
All activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene
n
Safe mobility and transfers (including 2:1 assist and use of hoist/sling lifter)
n
Meal preparation and 1:1 assisted feeding in line with dysphagia guidelines
n
Medication support (full assistance required)
n
Behavioural support and emotional regulation
n
Community access and social engagement where appropriate
n
Maintaining a safe environment, particularly managing high falls risk
n
n
Complex Support Requirements
n
n
Neurodegenerative condition (including cognitive and physical decline)
n
Dementia-related behaviours and reduced communication capacity
n
High falls risk due to impulsivity and unsafe mobility
n
Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)



requiring supervised eating/drinking
n
Sleep disturbances, including agitation and wakefulness overnight
n
Continence support needs
n
Behavioural and safety risks requiring structured support approaches
n
n
You must be confident working in 2:1 environments, including during transfers, personal care, and overnight support.
n
Overnight Support
n
n
Combination of active and inactive overnight shifts
n
Ongoing monitoring, supervision, and support with mobility and toileting
n
Managing sleep disturbances, restlessness, and behavioural responses
n
Ability to respond to escalating situations calmly and safely
n
n
What do I need?

Current NDIS Worker Check
n
Current DHS Working With Children Check
n
Current First Aid & CPR (up to date)
n
Current Manual Handling Certificate
n
Unrestricted Driver's Licence
n
Assist with Medication training
n
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar
n
Experience with high-intensity/complex care clients (essential)
n

Highly regarded:
n
n
Experience with dysphagia management and mealtime support
n
Experience supporting participants with dementia or neurodegenerative conditions
n
n
