is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our team on a full time basis. Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.
Examine food and ingredients to ensure freshness and quality standards are maintained.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements and established standards.
Operate and regulate ovens, grills and other cooking equipment to ensure food is cooked correctly.
Season, portion, plate and present meals, including sauces, gravies and garnishes as required.
Store food and ingredients appropriately in temperature-controlled facilities in accordance with food safety requirements.




Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements and customer needs.
Assist with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements if required.
Assist with the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff and apprentices where required.
Skills:
A minimum of one year of related work experience
hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
excellent time management abilities
up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
Working Hours:
38 hours / per week

Chef
