Key Responsibilities
Deliversafe,evidence-basedandwoman-centredmidwiferycare
Providecareacrossantenatal,labour,birthandpostnatalstages
Monitorandassessthewellbeingofmothersandnewborns
Recogniseandrespondappropriatelytochangesinmaternalorneonatalcondition
Supportwomenandfamiliesthroughinformeddecision-makingandtheirindividualbirthjourney
Provideeducationrelatingtopregnancy,childbirth,breastfeedingandnewborncare
Maintainaccurateclinicalrecordsandfollowprofessionalandorganisationalstandards
Collaborateeffectivelywithmedical,nursing,neonatalandalliedhealthprofessionals
Contributetoarespectful,supportiveandpatient-focusedmaternityenvironment
Participateinclinicaleducation,professionaldevelopmentandspecialtypracticeopportunities

Requirements & Eligibility
CurrentAHPRAregistrationasaRegisteredMidwife
RecognisedqualificationinMidwifery
Demonstratedcommitmenttohigh-quality,evidence-basedmaternitycare
Strongcommunicationandinterpersonalskills
Abilitytoworkcollaborativelywithinamultidisciplinaryteam
Commitmenttoongoingprofessionaldevelopmentandlifelonglearning
Experienceinbirthsuite,antenatal,postnatalorspecialcarenurseryishighlyregarded
Abilitytoworkinpermanentfull-time,part-timeorcasualemployment
