O'Connor Builds and Construction is currently seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Carpenters to join in Yoogali NSW. Responsibilities
n
n
Interpret drawings and specifications to establish installation procedures and materials required
n
General carpentry including cutting, assembling, joining timber and concrete formwork
n
Erecting, propping and securing formwork
n
Re-sheeting timber moulding and formwork
n
Follow all code requirements for Australian building standards Supervise, teach and direct apprentice carpenters
n
Select and evaluate materials for defects
n
Liaise with team members, trades and suppliers Liaise with project manager
n
Participate in workplace training programs as required
n
Lead the Quality and Safety culture in the yard along with feedback to the factory
n
Participate in setting up new projects: mould assembly and formwork
n
Establish production forecast with Precast Manager and project team
n




Production delivery plan liaise with Planning/Precast Manager
n
n
Skills and abilities
n
n
High level of competency in measuring, cutting and installing frames and structures
n
Proficient and the safe use of hand and power tools with measuring instruments are essential.
n
Basic maths and problem solving skills
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Inspiring leadership
n
In depth understanding of fabrication drawings
n
Understanding of specifications and tolerances
n
Organizational skills
n
Team player with cooperative attitude
n

Qualification
n
n
Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
n
n
Work experience
n
n
Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience
n
n
