Sante Recruitment is seeking a motivated and dedicatedUnaccredited Oncology Registrarto join the Medical Oncology service atSouth West Healthcare (SWH)in Warrnambool.
This is a12-month fixed-term position, working86 hours per fortnight, providing an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor looking to consolidate their oncology experience, strengthen their CV and prepare for future formal advanced training.
Based at theWarrnambool Campus, you will join a supportive multidisciplinary cancer care team and work closely with experienced Consultant Medical Oncologists.
The Opportunity
Working alongside Consultant Medical Oncologists, the successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to the clinical management of patients across the oncology service.
The role will provide experience across both inpatient and day oncology settings, including:
Day-to-day clinical management of oncology inpatients
Assessment and review of patients within the Day Oncology Unit
Management of patients admitted to acute medical wards
Participation in Consultant-led ward rounds
Attendance and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
Clinical assessment and formulation of management plans
Liaison with nursing, allied health and other medical teams
Communication with patients and their families
Participation in clinical audits and quality improvement activities
Supervision and support of junior medical staff where required

What You Bring The Successful Applicant Will Have
Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Demonstrated commitment to safe, high-quality patient care
Strong interest in Oncology and/or physician training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Ability to work collaboratively with Consultants, nursing and allied health staff
Doctors with an interest in pursuing futureMedical Oncology, General Medicine or related physician trainingare particularly encouraged to apply.
